Senior Program

 

OVERVIEW

 

The Eight Northern Indian Pueblos Council, Inc. Senior Program provides services to the Pueblos of Nambe, Picuris, Pojoaque and San Ildefonso. 

 

Each site is operating with a full staff serving lunch Monday – Thursday and breakfast on Fridays.  All sites are open from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm except for Pojoaque Senior Center, which is open from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.

 

Each site continues to provide nutritional meals prepared by certified staff, recreation and transportation, information and assistance on health, education and other resources are available.

 

 

RESPITE CAREGIVER PROGRAM

 

The Eight Northern Indian Pueblos Council, Inc. has expanded services to assure the health and well being of our elders by providing the respite program.  The intent of the program is to provide assistance with the respite care for the primary caregiver of the homebound frail eligible elder (age 55 or older) or who has been discharged from the hospital.  Each primary caregiver will be able to utilize time off away from the elders to prevent burnout.
